About PMx Digital

We build software.
We build people.

A Zimbabwean software company combining academic depth with production-grade delivery — for clients across Africa and beyond.

Our Story

Built in Harare.
Thinking globally.

PMx Digital was born from a simple observation: Zimbabwe has exceptional technical talent, but local businesses often struggle to access technology services that actually solve their problems.

We set out to close that gap. We deliver technology work that's deeply rooted in the African business context — we understand the infrastructure constraints, the regulatory environments, the market dynamics, and the specific challenges organisations face on the continent.

Our work spans software development, DevOps & cloud, AI & automation, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation consulting. Whether we're building for a fintech startup or a government ministry, the standard doesn't change. Clients across financial services, healthcare, government, telecoms, mining, and NGOs trust us with work that has to hold up under real conditions.

Beyond delivery, we build capability. Our corporate training programmes draw directly from real-world practice — so your team operates with confidence long after we've finished.

Outcome-Focused

We measure success by the business results our software produces, not the lines of code we write.

Production-Grade Standards

Everything we ship is tested, documented, and built to run reliably — not just to pass a demo.

Long-Term Partnerships

We're built for clients who want a trusted technical partner, not a vendor on call.

Knowledge Transfer

We build your team's capability alongside your software — so when we leave, you're stronger, not stuck.

Panashe Manyonganise is the Founder and Principal Consultant at PMx Digital. He holds an MTech in Cloud Computing and serves as a Lecturer in Information Technology at the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT).

His academic work bridges theory and practice — he designs and delivers courses in software engineering, web development, and cloud computing while simultaneously building production software for real clients through PMx Digital.

He is also an affiliated researcher at the African Institute of Biomedical Science and Technology (AiBST), where his work focuses on artificial intelligence, digital health infrastructure, and computational drug discovery — applying these methods to African healthcare problems, from antimalarial drug discovery to digital health systems.

This blend of academic research, practical delivery, and domain expertise directly shapes how PMx Digital approaches projects: research-grade thinking applied to work that has to ship.

What Drives Us

Mission, Vision & Values

Our Mission

To build production-grade software that solves real business problems across Africa and beyond, while investing in the technical talent that will power the continent's digital future.

Our Vision

A future where African businesses lead with digital products that compete globally, built by African engineers — and where the skills to build are widely distributed.

Our Values

Rigour over shortcuts. Honest communication, especially when it's uncomfortable. Ownership of outcomes, not just deliverables. Respect for what clients entrust to us — their time, their money, their reputation.

Why PMx Digital

The difference is in how we work.

Many agencies write code. Fewer understand business. Fewer still take ownership of outcomes. At PMx Digital, we position ourselves as a technical partner — not just a contractor.

Work with us

What that means in practice

We ask why before we ask what.

We understand the business problem before we propose a solution — wrong answer to the right problem is the costliest mistake in software.

We build for the environment you operate in.

We design for African conditions: patchy connectivity, lean budgets, mobile-first users, and local regulatory constraints.

We stay accountable to outcomes, not deliverables.

A shipped feature that doesn't move the metric isn't a win — we measure ourselves against what the work was meant to achieve.

We bring research-grade thinking to delivery.

Our founder is an active researcher and lecturer; that rigour shows up in every trade-off we evaluate and decision we document.

We transfer capability, we don't hoard it.

Every engagement leaves your team stronger — we document, train, and hand over cleanly, because dependency isn't partnership.
